Gardening in Helsinki
In Helsinki and surrounding areas (Espoo, Vantaa) the city rents out areas to associations for use as food plant allotments, garden allotments and summer lodges and these associations rent individual plots, allotments or summer lodges to Helsinki residents.
It's quite a wonderful way to relax yourself if you like gardening as a hobby, made possible by this city .

This week has been all about feeling grateful for the friends I've made in these two years since I've moved in the happiest country.
So it just makes sense to end the week with praising these friends of mine who took care with much love of their amazing garden and today I get to eat the best vegetables, thanks to their generosity towards me. Not only they enjoy taking care of their garden, but my friend is also a great chef at one of the best restaurants here in Helsinki: Lasipalatsi .
Who doesn't enjoy a lemonade with fresh peppermint?
What vegetables do you recognize in this photo?
What to expect when you're expat-ing?
Nothing simpler, as the proverb says : you reap what you sow. As it's the case in every aspect of life.
No matter the place you're living in, make sure you treat everyone with kindness. Some may turn into friendships which will help you navigate the incertenty of new , others will leave, and that's fine too, but make sure you leave room for Hello.
I don't have too many friends, and I think I don't like to have too many, because when I'll have the time to nurture all these relationships?
